Are you working in or have worked in retail or any job that deals with Joe public, punters or what ever colourful language you like to call them? Then share your rants here. Obviously if you still work for the company you are ranting for do not name them here as there are spies everywhere! This is a safe heaven to rant and moan and perhaps entertain each other about our tales of retail woes.
It'll most likely just be myself ranting a fair bit but please share your pain with me!
Yesterday being easter monday was an utter pain in the arse. Working a supermarket and living in Scotland means we don't get good friday, easter sunday or easter monday as holidays, well monday yes at a whooping time and half!
I was sick to the back teeth of customers coming in and telling me how wonderful it was outside, which I could see quite clearly through the windows in the bloody store!!! And the regulars/tourist all bitching and complaining why there are no easter eggs left BECAUSE IT'S NOT EASTER SUNDAY YOU TWATS!
Also the "gap year" tourists that want a product that they got two years ago and don't understand why we don't stock it any more aggh!!!!
More rants soon.

Last year I worked at McDonalds (which I am glad to have left), during a busy day I was on the Drive-Thru and was dealing with one of the customers using the new headsets at the same time another customer who had already been served came over to state that something was missing from her order as I'm taking an order whereas she could have gone to the end window to speak with the people who actually bagged the food.
So as she asks about her order I direct her to next window forgetting that I hadn't turned to speaker off for the headset which meant that as I midway through the order the woman in car starts to move off, which led to me going 'Wait stay there!!" which meant both women stopped thinking I was talking to them. I go to the woman who asked about her order telling her to go to next window, the other woman thinks I'm talking to her again so starts to set off which led to me shouting to both of them 'NO! You go! You stay!!"
But the worst part was that this whole conversation was head by everyone who was listening to orders being taken; much to their amusement.
